Abstract
This study examines the viability of employing QR code technology as a catalyst for a transformative path that fosters sustainable fashion and revitalizes handcrafts, thus challenging the prevailing fast fashion paradigm. The theoretical section involves the analysis of relevant literature discussing the ramifications of fast fashion, the significance of revitalizing traditional handicrafts within the fashion sector and QR code technology. whereas the practical aspect was implemented on a local sustainable fashion brand that functions as a fundraising arm for a non-governmental organization. QR codes were employed during the brand's participation at COP27 and various events and workshops, enabling an interactive link between participants, artisanal items, and the historical background of handcrafts. The QR codes were also instrumental in promoting upcycled fashion collections, enhancing consciousness regarding sustainable practices, and fostering engagement with the NGO's cause and the brand's mission.
